Save Hundreds
on a Heat Pump Clothes Dryer

Get up to $840 off your
new dryer with help
from New York State.

Heat pump clothes dryers are highly efficient, gentler on fabrics, and don’t require ventilation. You can get an electric heat pump clothes dryer from a participating retailer and depending on your income, you can save 50-100% of the cost.

Your guide to getting the best
new clothes dryer for less.

Check your home for a 240V outlet.

Heat pump clothes dryers can generally be installed anywhere, in any home. Typically, all you need is a 240V outlet to plug it into, so if you already have an electric dryer you should be all set for your dryer installation. If you do not currently have an available 240V outlet or if a participating contractor recommends other electrical upgrades, New York State offers rebates for that too.

Shop for your dryer.

Review our list of eligible models to find one that’s right for you. There are over 50 models from 12 different brands to choose from, including ventless heat pump combo units that wash and dry clothes all in one machine. Then, identify what participating retailer (either in-store* or online) you plan to purchase your dryer from.

Apply and claim your custom coupon code.

Once you’ve decided on a dryer model and retailer, simply claim your coupon prior to purchase** by creating a MyEnergy account. When you complete the application and provide income verification, you will then receive a custom code that will unlock your savings at checkout.

Install your new dryer.

Enjoy the cleanest way to dry your laundry that’s gentler on fabrics too. Heat pump dryers don’t require any ventilation or gas hookups, just a method for draining the water at the end of the drying cycle (which is already included in the model). This setup makes installation simple and straightforward.

*The application requires a participating retailer, but not a specific location of the retailer. This allows residents the flexibility to pick the location closest to them. Residents may even use their coupon at an out of state location of a participating retailer, as long as the delivery address is in NY State. (i.e., purchase in CT or NJ but install in NY).

**Please allow 7-10 business days for your application to be approved.
